I've read hi...I wouldn't quote Schumacher. I've read his stuff. No thank you. We can get into a long discussion about why, but I am not going to offer that up right now. Just understand that in my opinion he should not be quoted in your defense of religion. Cavanaugh, on the other hand, is worth quoting. The problem here is that you quote his opinion of Hitchens' views. I think it would be wise to be include more of Cavanaugh's opinions on this matter---he does not defend religion. He is casting doubt on agreed upon definition of religion. He admits that atrocities are done in the name of religion, he just doubts if that "religion" is really "religion."Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07287099023542449921noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6805190.post-39544549456539374582013-08-09T06:48:28.322-07:002013-08-09T06:48:28.322-07:00You must be joking? it's empirical fact religi...You must be joking? it's empirical fact religion is the primary cause since 2000, religion is also responsible for global segregation, blind faith raises it's ugly head again facts only the factshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13780253855335937494noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6805190.post-54680206495312081872013-03-24T19:06:17.543-07:002013-03-24T19:06:17.543-07:00Prominent war theorist, Carl von Clausewitz in his...Prominent war theorist, Carl von Clausewitz in his classic work, "On War" argues convincingly that war is politics by other means. There are numerous accounts in history of political leaders using religion as a motivator for war. But religions don't wage war, governments do.rpvicarshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10871226394448243356noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6805190.post-15101375105053106692013-03-16T08:14:00.188-07:002013-03-16T08:14:00.188-07:00Terrific article!

The average person doesn't even bother to see if what they're saying is correct. They believe it and transmit the lies to others.MaryLouhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10917008423767928906noreply@blogger.com
